A totally optional feature of Dex, this post is where you can put your character's information and backstory, their team rosters and boxed pokémon, and any updates about where they are and what's happened to them. All for funsies and your own convenience! If you want to do just the basic profile, a template has been provided below. Two codes have also been provided for pokémon - one that matches the profile code (intended for your team roster, but can be used however), and one that's a simple table - both of which allow you to give as much or as little information as you see fit. All information can be as detailed as you like, or even bullet lists. If players want special code for progress updates/thread tracking/etc, whatever you're using the post for, it'll be made. Seven's current location, employment, and information are all unknown. All that's known is that he was brought to Alola, where he can frequently be found on the network talking to people and causing shenanigans. There are many signs that the multi-region message system is his in design, and he has his fingers in a lot of technical pies, but he often claims that he doesn't get out much, too busy because of his work (which, if asked, he frequently makes up ridiculous stories about). For all intents and purposes, Seven is a harmless internet troll that likes cute pokémon.

History:
Born in Golderod City, Souji grew up a fairly lonely latchkey kid due to having career parents that traveled a great deal. At first, it was largely to and from Goldenrod and Saffron via the magnet train, but as they moved up in their company they started to travel to other regions as well. This led to their family being moved repeatedly, following their promotions and assignments across Kanto and Johto, all the way to Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova.
His only real companions were his pokémon, due to the fact he often kept other people at an arms' length. It's left him more interested in helping and working with them than another person. So the moment that he went on his journey, he... didn't come back, opting instead to become a traveling ranger. There wasn't really anywhere for him to go back to, anyways, given the fact his parents moved again while he was away. They still keep in contact, now, but for the most part it's just the occasional pleasant call or letter, maybe lunch or a day of catching up when they wind up in the same city.
Now, though, he's come to Alola to see what he might be able to do as a ranger, given the expansive wilderness and conservation efforts in the region.

History:
Having grown up in Jubilife City, Shiro started life as a hard working kid with great aspirations. He attended the Pokémon School in-town, and spent a lot of time traveling to Sandgem to visit with Professor Rowan. The moment he was allowed to officially set out on his journey, he took it on with aplomb, making progress faster than many of his peers at the time. He's always had a natural affinity with pokémon, and a tactical mind coupled with an ability to think outside of the box with the intent to do the right thing. It allowed him to pursue his initial dream, once he had taken on the League: travel to Kanto and work with the researchers there.
Everything was going great - he made friends in Kanto, helped at Pokémon Schools with his experience and knowledge, and worked his way up to a field assistant that traveled the world with professors and researchers to assist them in their work.
Except a huge chunk of his memory is missing, regarding his initial work in Alola. After arriving in the region to assist an enterprising professor with his research, working alongside the newly developed Aether Foundation, everything went wrong. Shiro soon found himself washed up on some Melemele beach, no real memories of what had happened, a bizarre prosthetic arm he's still figuring the functions of out, and only his pokémon as any kind of silver lining. He's been spending all of his time since trying to find any sign of what happened to the professor he was working with. It's led him to working in law enforcement for the time being, to ensure that nothing like what happened to him will happen to anyone else.

History:
Itsuki's life doesn't really have much excitement in it, despite having gone on his pokémon journey in such a challenging region as Unova. He grew up in Castelia City with a happy, normal family - as normal as one can have with pokémon and the hustle and bustle of the city - although the one thing of note is the end of his adventure. Rather than taking on the League, Itsuki instead decided to leave his home region after the final gym and find somewhere that suited him more, largely retiring as a battler and becoming a breeder.
It's an easy job for him, considering that he usually feels a lot more comfortable with pokémon than he does people. His primary focus nowadays is nurturing them, leading to him opening his own daycare. He's actually pretty popular as a breeder, given his standards and care.
Of course, you need to be able to protect the pokémon to be able to raise them, so this doesn't mean that he's completely out of the circuit, considering the fact that he'll occasionally visit the Battle Royal Dome on Akala Island now that he lives and works in Alola. There's still a competitive streak in him, and he always wants to work to better himself and his team, even if his interests have changed.

History:
The youngest child of the renowned Todoroki family, who can trace their roots through generations of champions, and supposedly all the way back to historical folk heroes, Shouto had... a not so amazing upbringing in Saffron City. His father had children in an arranged marriage with the intent to create his perfect legacy, one that might overtake his rival if he could not. One would assume that a child in his position would want for nothing, being the heir of a rich, elite family. One would also assume wrong, given the abusive childhood that he had and the incident that left his face scarred when his mother's mind snapped from the pressure of their home life.
So, of course, the moment that he could leave? He did. And he hasn't been back since, despite his father's best efforts to hunt him down and drag him back home, to become his tool again. Shouto makes this particularly difficult by not spending much time in any one region, and thus has wound up only facing the Indigo League after taking on the Kanto-Johto circuit, winding up with an eclectic collection of badges from other regions.
While he would like to finish these circuits, he's still working hard to make his name his own, rather than one people recognize because of his father.

History:
Born and raised in Konikoni City after his father finished traveling the world, Souma grew up in his family restaurant learning how to cook and battle under the same roof. From an early age, he's been an active member in his community - he knows everyone in Konikoni, and has battled just about everybody that'll take him on. Through trial and error, he's become a proficient chef and trainer, despite appearances and his personality, but there's only one person that he's never beat no matter how hard he tries: his own dad, Jouichirou Yukihira.
But he's never met a challenge he can't eventually overcome, so he's bound and determined to beat him in both a cooking competition and a pokémon battle. Even if this means that he'll have to go on a journey and take on the island challenge (he hasn't yet, surprisingly enough), Souma will find a way to get better and learn more.
(Where's his mother? Who knows - neither of the Yukihira men will talk about her.

History: The sole survivor of an old clan, Mirai was born in Geosenge Town with a legacy to her name - one with a nasty twist. Her ancestors were persecuted by those around them for their abilities, despite the fact they were merely a branch of Aura users, largely due to the fact that they often used their own blood in rituals conducted to strengthen them. They also worked alongside pokémon frequently considered tabboo, unwanted, or dangerous, which made them even more feared, themselves.
When her mother died and left her alone, Mirai was taken in by the Inami family, though she was isolated due to her lineage. She befriended the eldest daughter, but unfortunately was held responsible for her death when they were attacked by a powerful and rogue pokémon, and was forced to run away or face their revenge.
Because of who she is and what she's been through, even if strangers don't ever find out about her past, she's shy and reclusive. Even anxious. So she has a hard time finding work and making a living for herself, despite being a fairly strong trainer. She avoids battles, where possible, so as to avoid other trainers and running the risk of someone else getting hurt because of her.
She does write a blog about her care and keeping of Bonsai, although it's not very popular for some reason...

History:
Izuku grew up with his mother in Verdanturf Town, his father somewhere overseas and distant. Growing up just east of the Daycare, Izuku has a particular fondness for young pokemon. He was generally left alone by most of the other kids- he did grow up bullied by a neighbor, but he did his best to deal with it as best he could.
He's made his way through Hoenn, Johto, Kanto, Sinnoh and Unova's gyms. He got through each of them with a slow but deliberate pace, training up his pokémon with love and care. Still, he wasn't quite sure if they were ready to face the Elite Four and moved onto the next region and the next without facing the region's Elite Four or Champion.
Eventually he decides to settle down in Alola's Ula'Ula island, opening a nursery in Tapu Village. Upon first glance he doesn't look like much of a battler, but he can occasionally be found at Poni Island's Battle Tree as either a competitor or a Mutli Battle partner.

History:
Even at a young age, Kenma showed a natural aptitude for Pokemon battles. His keen eyes and shrewd tactical mind make him a trainer to be reckoned with, and he excels at discovering and exploiting an opponent’s weaknesses.
… too bad he’s not that into battling.
In fact, if it wasn’t for the urging of his childhood best friend, Tetsurou Kuroo, it’s doubtful that Kenma would have ever tried his hand out at being a trainer. He’d rather stay inside and play video games, there’s no way he’s making eye contact with strangers long enough to start a trainer battle. But Kuroo was more than persistent about barging into Kenma’s house and dragging him outside to go traipsing about in the tall grass to look for new Pokemon companions or to work on their battling skills, and eventually? The two of them wound up building teams that were more than capable of taking them on a Pokemon adventure of their very own.
So! Full of optimism and brimming with excitement about the prospect of setting out on their own journey, Kuroo told Kenma to meet him at the next town over so that they could start the first chapter of their adventure. … except, hey, no one should ever let Kenma try to navigate anywhere on his own. He always ends up getting caught up playing a game on his phone, and the next time he looks up…
… he’s managed to wind up in a completely different region.

History: Ryousuke grew up in a normal household that nurtured an interest in baseball, with a little brother as his shadow. His younger brother Haruichi would always follow him; if Ryousuke ate his tomatoes, so would Haruichi. If Ryousuke was the second baseman on his team, Haruichi would play the same position, even if it limited his chances to stand on the field. In order to set an example, Ryousuke would strive to be the model elder brother and ensure his admiration was not misplaced.
Somewhere along the line baseball scholarships fell through, a misstep in his plan to eventually be drafted into the Slateport City Swellows.
Despite his parents wishes, he took to the road with the family Skitty, and a Taillow he caught stealing cheri berries from his mother's garden. His "first and last selfish request". Since then, he's carved himself a reputation as a ghost-type specialist with a ruthless, tricky battle style (and a taste for poison).
Baseball isn't off the table. Not when his little brother is intent on following him to every league imaginable. With such a talented sibling at his heels, Ryousuke's never been able to settle in one place for long, always forging his way forward. For now, he's left the ports of his hometown of Vermillion to see what the Alola region has to offer.

History: The son of two career Pokemon breeders, Kanji was raised to consider the thoughts and feelings of pokémon to be equal to his own. He was born and raised in Azalea Town, but spent a great deal of time in Goldenrod City as a child, either helping his parents run errands or attending various breeder events. He was often picked on at school for being such a soft touch with pokémon and being more interested in their care than in battling, and so he carefully cultivated his tough image to keep other kids at arm's length, insisting that he preferred the company of pokémon anyway.
At fourteen, he started traveling throughout Johto more freely, journeying with his pokémon companions just like most kids his age. While he never became a well-respected trainer, he grew very quickly as a breeder, including an extended stay in Goldenrod City where he learned a few tricks of the trade his parents never happened to pass onto him, including the ability to make his own specially-balanced pokémon food. He made friends while traveling, and rather than return home immediately, he decided to continue journeying to other regions and become a stronger trainer and more experienced breeder in his own right, separate from his parents and their influence. He is currently visiting Alola with a number of the aforementioned friends, interested in learning more about the regional variants and other native pokémon the islands have to offer.

History: All her life, Nanako has been raised by her father, a police detective in Johto. Her mother was killed in a hit-and-run accident when she was very little and Nanako has very little memory of her. Her father, however, took the loss hard and has buried himself in his work over the years in an effort to cope, leaving young Nanako with the brunt of responsibilities around the Dojima household. Despite this, Nanako loves her father more than anyone and does her best to obey and looks forward to the time she does have with him.
A few summers back, her cousin Souji came to stay with them for several months and she grew very close to him, coming to consider him her "big brother" and looking forward to any time he was in the area and could come back for a visit. His friends, too, became frequent visitors to the Dojima household, or encounters when Souji took her out with him and getting to make friends and be included on their adventures are some of her fondest memories.
Recently, her father's been given a work asignment that's taken him out of the area for a period of time and it wasn't safe for him to bring Nanako with him. Instead, she's been placed under the watchful care of Souji, who's proven responsible enough to look after her in her father's absense. Pleased with the arrangement, she's looking forward to exploring her new home and learning everything she can about pokemon.

History: Lance was born and raised on Alola and has never once stepped outside of his homeland. He grew up in a small home with his rather large family, the middle child of a set of five. He also happens to be the only boy of the five, meaning he has spent his entire life surrounded by girls. His home life was happy, if a little lacking in funds, and he is very close with everyone in his family, including his grandparents and all of the Pokemon his family members own.
When he was eleven, he set off on his island challenge, just like any other Alolan boy. While it took him a while, he did actually complete the challenge. He dreamed of trying to take on the Leagues in other regions, but those dreams were dashed when his father fell ill and he found himself having to stay home in order to help take care of his family. However, he doesn't mind because it means he gets to stay on his beautiful home island of Melemele, spending any free time he has on the beaches and chilling with his super cool Pokemon friends.

History:
Raised in traditional Ecruteak City, Kashuu grew up transfixed with the beauty of the local kimono girls. He couldn't be one of them but he did study traditional dance and learned to mimic their graceful actions. His training and talent pushed him up to the point that people no longer talked about the shoddy type of child he had been. His good looks (and ruthless Pokémon battling) gave him quite the reputation and adoration.
And then he broke his leg in an accident near Mt. Mortar. His absence while recovering wiped him from people's minds. Maybe it was the fact his friendships were superficial. Maybe the people he considered friends were cruel. Maybe it was the fact he's honestly a difficult person to deal with. It doesn't matter why it really happened, because Kashuu Kiyomitsu decided for himself exactly what it meant. If you weren't there, if you weren't capable of doing your job, if you weren't the prettiest thing on stage, you were as good as dead.
Needing a change of pace from the city that abandoned him, he moved to Alola. The mix of cultures on the islands led him to change his image from the traditional dancer from Johto to a flashy, sleek idol you'd see on a Unovan bigscreen or walking down the streets of Kalos' Luminose City. Now he and Stenee can be spotted hopping from island to island promoting songs, videos, and clothing lines.

History:
Nyx originally hails from Geosenge Town. He became orphaned when his mother and sister died in an accident when young. Since he had no father to speak of, he was taken in by a family and moved to Lumiose City. There he quickly became friends with others in the same situation as himself, and with the aid of borrowed Pokemon from their families, frequently visited the routes around the city. He was at ten years old gifted a Poochyena by his adoptive parents, and the two became inseparable. Over the years he collected many more Pokemon and evolved them, and took the steps he needed to become a Ranger. The city life hadn't suited him since the first time he left to go adventuring with his Poochyena, named Galahd.
Years later he decided that Kalos just wasn't for him anymore and left for Alola, hearing about the varied terrains and islands. With Galahd at his side, he continues being a Ranger, setting out to wherever he's assigned to in order to help both Pokemon and trainers.
Nyx has a preference for dark types, though will train anything that can be useful to his profession. His nickname among the Rangers back home is 'hero' since he will go out of his way to make sure others are safe.

History: Reigen grew up in Goldenrod City with his pet Growlithe, saving up his money for a future expedition. He was always actually quite good at talking people into trades that probably weren't really in their favor, or finding trades that were ideal for him to take advantage of as soon as possible - this allowed him to get really strong Pokémon, or to get people to raise his Pokémon on his behalf. He spent a lot of his time exploring, and worked for a brief time with Professor Elm. However, he lost interest in Johto and how difficult it was to make money there, instead using his savings to travel to Alola and give business over there a shot. He was living in Po Town for a while thanks to its cheap rent, but when the electricity and water got shut off, he finally moved shop to Konikoni City, where he has a business set up titled "Spirits and Such Consultation", which is advertised as an exorcism and curse-removal service shop. His customers at least seem extremely pleased with his service, even if he's only open Monday through Thursday.

History:Growing up in Unova, Teddie lived with a distant relative as his parents passed when he was very young. He doesn’t seem bothered by it, but he’s not entirely sure if he was even born in Unova. Teddie was never one to stay inside much; he loved to go out onto Routes and travel around, eventually finding a lonely Eevee. He ended up going on a journey to find out more about his parents, about where he came from. Though not a typical journey, Teddie ended up finding out that his parents were Pokémon Researchers that ended up doing quite a few bad things under the Aether Foundation.
Though it bothered him to find out his origins were not necessarily the best, Teddie did meet Souji, who he found out was a ranger. He almost latched onto the other like a Koala, wanting to travel with him as far as he could go. When he learned that Alola would be a stop, he has come to find out more about the Aether Foundation, and why his parents would research such terrible things.
